About NinaLynn

Dreamy alt-folk full of wonder, nature and honest stories

Portrait of NinaLynn

NinaLynn creates alternative folk with roots in Americana: warm, story-driven music for listeners who like to stay a little longer. With a voice that draws you close and poetic songs about nature, reflection, vulnerability and wonder, she invites her audience to pause, and perhaps leave a little differently than they arrived.

Her music draws from the lyrical honesty of Joni Mitchell, the intimate folk world of Katherine Priddy and the modern songcraft of Madison Cunningham, while always finding its own path. Her songs are earthy and organic, with space for silence, rich musicianship and stories that slowly find their way under the skin.

Music as a place to land

For Nina, a song often begins with attention: a walk through nature, a conversation at the kitchen table, a feeling that does not yet have words. From there, songs begin to take shape. Not to offer easy answers, but to open a space. Sometimes like a mirror, sometimes like a place to rest, sometimes like a door left slightly open.

Live

NinaLynn’s world comes fully alive on stage. Whether performed as a duo or with the full band, her songs breathe differently live: a line lingers longer, a silence becomes part of the story, a harmony opens the room.

For those who love intimate folk, warm Americana and concerts where listening truly matters, a NinaLynn show is an invitation to step into her world.

Album

NinaLynn released her debut album Hummingbird in 2021. The album was warmly received and reached number 1 on the Euro Americana Chart. Heaven described her music as “on-Nederlands goed” (unusually good for the Netherlands) while New Folk Sounds called her “the new Dutch promise in country music.”

Her second album, A Taste of the Wild, followed in 2023 and also reached number 1 on the Euro Americana Chart, as well as the top position in the Dutch Americana & Roots Top 13. The album was created with her band: Janos Koolen, Arthur Bont and Lucas Beukers.

For those who want to take a piece of that world home, her music is also available on CD and vinyl: tangible reminders of songs made to return to.

Further into the world

Alongside her work as an artist, Nina also guides others through vocal lessons, songwriting and creative expression. Whether through a concert, a record, vocal coaching, a workshop or music for a ceremony, the movement is the same: to give attention to what is present, give it form and let connection grow from there.
